Spaces In Between

The both/and, the almost, the unknown, the waiting.

The pause between inhale and exhale, the gap between question and answer, the cracks in everything.

The courage from one climbing hold to another, the space between ribs and in lungs for air, the miracle of protons and neutrons staying together, the place between foot and path, your hand and another’s, your voice and the story it tells.

Spaces of loss, of longing, of a seed under soil, of the sun below the horizon. The holiness of the in-between. Holy space. Holy Saturday.

Over Lent, I’m sending out daily emails, exploring the beauty, pain and mystery of “spaces in between”. I’m writing from experience of faith, but hope there will be words for anyone.

The ideas will come, like the rest of Pilgrim & Pup, from where I walk each day, with poems, pictures, and of course, Robin.

To make this journey through Lent together, just sign up using the form (a message goes to my email, and your details will be stored securely).
